Book Review – A Bridge to Love – Nancy Herkness

I liked this book because it was a little different from other books I read. The main reason being the age of the main character is not in her early twenties and the guy is not young either.

Kate is a widow with two boys to raise on her own. A year after her husband dies her world really starts crashing down. And she wants revenge and takes it with Randall, this sexy Texan CEO with an agenda of revenge of his own. When Kate tells Randall he is only a one night stand, well he cannot stand that. And it only makes him want her even more.

So, spending time with her and her boys, only makes it worse. Kate’s life starts to get even more complicated. Randall doesn’t help with it, when he starts using his CEO capabilities and working his magic. But again, his revenge starts to get closer. Once it comes, he snaps and shit hits the fan.

With Kate, she wants to be independent and not have to depend on a man again. After finding about her husband’s secret life and all the drama that came with it, she is very timid about relationships. Will Randall push too far?

Book Review – Beautiful Redemption (The Maddox Brothers #2) Jamie McGuire

Hello Maddox Brother #1… Thomas!

Being the oldest, Thomas took the responsibility of father when Jim lost it after his wife died. For whatever messed up reason, his path brought him to the FBI. Which led him heartbroken. I would have never guessed that, honestly.

Liis, is the Agent at the San Diego Office. Real quick, everybody learns she may be small but she takes no shit. She just left her previous office and her previous engagement to Jackson. Call her marriage to her job or commitment phobe to actual men but yes she has her own stupid issues. And her first night stand happens to be no other than Mr. Maddox himself.

And that Mr. Maddox turns out to be her boss. Her very arrogant asshole boss that isn’t happy with her work, even before he meets her. But, after working closely together, lines start to get crossed again. But, his heart is still heartbroken. Liis knows it. She doesn’t want to come in number 3. (The Bureau, the ex, then her). But, is it right to tell him this, when a he really want give him any chances herself? She constantly runs away from his emotionally advances.

Their next big assignment. Operation recruit Maddog. Yes, bring in The Travis Maddox. When? The day after the renewal of Travis’ and Abby’s wedding vowels. Possible problems, Travis goes ape shit over his choices. And he does.

The beginning of the assignment goes well for Thomas and Liis. Things seem great on a personally level. By the time they leave it went straight to hell. It seems all the Maddox brothers fucks ups pretty bad at times but they all fall for these stubborn ass girls.

Is it bad to fall in love with 3 out of 5 brothers so far??

Book Review – Bound by Honor – Cora Reilly

5 Bloody Stars…

This book is fucking amazing. Excuse the language. But for real. Its my favorite type of book. You have the Italian mob. Who doesn’t like mobsters? Anyways,  the Italians are practically loosing control of their territories because of the other mobs. So the Chicago mob and the New York Mob come to an agreement. Luca the eldest child of the mob boss in New York (18 at the time) will marry the most beautiful eldest child in the mob in Chicago. In walks in 15 year old Aria.

Aria finds out and immediate hates it. Being promised to a killer, an asshole from hell, somebody she has no idea who he is and she has to give him her virginity all at the lovely age of 18. Damn her father. But she was raised in the mob. She knows there is only one way out of this life. So she will do what she is told.

Luca is definitely an asshole from hell. A killer that will snap your neck. He definitely has a soft spot for Aria that he keeps hidden from everybody. But, he is very crazy. And its not pretty. Just reading about him is panty droppin’.

Knowing they are in the mob family, they learn to except things they cannot change, and they do learn more and more about themselves. Things get good, things get bad, things get freakin ugly. But, because i love these books… things are beautiful!

Absolutely loved it!!!!
